Friendly defeat for Whites
SALISBURY City went down 3-0 last night in their first official pre-season friendly against a very strong Southampton XI.
Trailing 1-0 at the interval to a 40th minute Jason Euell goal, second half efforts by Bradley Wright-Phillips and David McGoldrick completed the scoreline.
"It was a great work out for us - just what I'd wanted," said manager Nick Holmes.
"I thought we matched them in every department in the first half and we were unfortunate to go in a goal down at the break."
