Clarke fires Salisbury to first league win
A DARRELL Clarke double was enough to give Salisbury their first three points of the season, as they eased to 2-1
victory over Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday night.
Clarke struck in the 18th minute as he rose to meet Liam Feeney's precise corner kick and powered his header past Robinson in the Rovers' goal.
He then doubled City's lead in spectacular fashion in the 47th minute with a well-
executed overhead kick.
Although the hosts did strike back through the lively Andrew Mangan on 57 minutes, the
visitors were always in control.
There was a late scare when John Hardiker's hit the post, but Salisbury looked very comfortable and were good value for their first win of the season.
